Interaction with Mr. Chacko Cherian, CEO of RawData Technologies

28 Dec

“THE WORLD IS CHANGING VERY FAST. BIG WILL NOT BEAT THE SMALL ANYMORE. IT WILL BE THE FAST BEATING THE SLOW.”

Students and faculty members at SCMS Cochin School of Business were blessed with an opportunity to interact with Mr. Chacko Cherian, CEO of RawData Technologies, as part of the Institute Industry Interaction Session on Tuesday.

Little did we know about how India has been Modi-Fied until this young emerging entrepreneur shed some light into the same, for all the budding young minds of SCMS. He also showed us how the field of Business Intelligence could make advantage of this changing world. A lot of buzz words in today’s India such as Demonetisation, GST and Uberization became the essence of the entire half an hour discussion, wherein inputs from students and faculty were also taken. As an add-on, Mr. Chacko Cherian took us all on a virtual trip to Taiwan by elaborating on his business experience there. It was quite alarming to notice that Taiwan had a GDP that was exponentially higher than that of Kerala, though both had a comparable resources count. This is when he made us all realize that, the size of the country is not what that matters, but, how we make use of the resources at our disposal. He made it a cornerstone in all our minds that, the world is changing and the law by which the whole world is governed now is “SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST”. There is always scope for improvements, but, realizing the same, at the right time is crucial. He left the audience with a piece of advice that motivated all of us to face the changing world: “DON’T WORRY ABOUT FAILURE. YOU ONLY HAVE TO BE RIGHT ONCE

LIFE AND BUSINESS IS LIKE THE CHANGING SEASONS. YOU CANNOT CHANGE THE SEASONS, BUT YOU CAN CHANGE YOURSELF. THEREIN LIES THE OPPORTUNITY TO LIVE AN EXTRAORDINARY LIFE, THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHANGE YOURSELF.
